A community voices forum will involve meetings in local informal settlements of Nairobi three weeks prior to the conference to obtain perspectives from the community on urban health. From each settlement, delegates will be nominated to attend a synthesis meeting on October 18th. Proceedings and recommendations from these activities will be shared in a plenary session during the main conference. Community-based organizations from these settlements will also be given opportunity to make poster presentations and exhibitions of their work throughout the conference.
